Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Design Engineering Intern. In this role, you will participate in Airframe Design related activities including 3D part design. Work may include concept development, preliminary and detail design. Will operate within an Integrated Product Team environment and coordinate with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines for design and development. Activity will be focused on airframe design related projects for Black Hawk modernization efforts. May also involve engineering problem solving for manufacturing issue resolution, preparing technical reports and proposals.. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of aircraft components design. Knowledge with CATIA V5/V6 software. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proficient with Business Software Tools (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Basic knowledge with Engineering Software Tools (3D/2D CAD)
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge in component design
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
- Highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives
- Capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
