Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Design Lead with proficiency in managing Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault software environments.

Requirements:

Significant experience with using and managing Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault software environments.

Knowledge of industrial controls and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Manage the CAD environment for the company in conjunction with IT and software vendor support resources.

Develop and update company CAD standards, documentation standards, and work practices.

Manage internal CAD libraries and maximize re-use.

Ensure timely completion of project work.

Distribute projects and support tasks among internal and contracted design resources.

Schedule and lead design reviews at appropriate stages of each project.

Accomplish design tasks when appropriate.

Provide production support in interpreting models and drawings.

Manage toolchains and procedures for delivering design data to CNC machine tools.

Understand the fabrication capabilities of the shop ensuring compatibility between designs and capabilities (design for manufacturing).

Create and manage parameter-based models for common components to accelerate the design process.
