Job Description Summary

At a local level, the Design Manager is responsible for planning, producing, and overseeing the creative strategy, implementation, and processes for all marketing deliverables coming out of the local market. Working in partnership with the market’s marketing lead, this position leads the Graphic Design team to execute strategic vision and to provide timely, consistent, and high-quality design work for all areas of the business.

We are looking for a creative, organized, and highly motivated team member who brings strong design aesthetic, experienced leadership, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, sales environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Oversee the local market Graphic Design team, both as a people manager and as a creative lead – working with the team to grow their design skillset, accomplish their goals, approach design to align with the strategic goals of our brokerage teams and clients, and to create best-in-class marketing deliverablesDesign and format custom marketing materials to support all business development and strategic marketing efforts lead by the local marketing teamAbility to help translate complex ideas and data into simple to read, easy to understand design materialsServe as a liaison to 3rd party design vendors and print vendors as neededReview creative output from Graphic Design team to ensure the work communicates critical messages and key value proposition to achieve business objectives and elevate Cushman & Wakefield’s brandManage internal workflow and prioritize total workload to ensure workload level matches allocated creative resourcesActively communicate with Marketing team around the priority, progress, deadlines, and any outstanding questionsProvide training and mentorship to Graphic Design team.Provide best practices, stay abreast of design trends, and encourage creativity on the Graphic Design teamDemonstrate a high level of creative development and production skillMonitor and enforce corporate design standards on local marketing materialsDevelop strong ties to colleagues in similar roles for effective sharing at an Americas level

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree4-7+ years of senior-level design experiencePrevious in-house corporate design experience is highly preferredPrevious design experience within the Commercial Real Estate sector is preferredExperience leading and managing a team - must be an effective, results-oriented communicator and leader with a focus on team developmentAdvanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is requiredFamiliarity with a project management tool is highly preferredStrong capability to work efficiently and independently to maintain high quality in a high-volume departmentAbility to stay current with technological advances of design, specific to industry standards and best practices and to share and present on that knowledge with the larger marketing organizationMust possess business acumen and knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and proceduresStrong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills - must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and be able to communicate clearly if bandwidth challenges ariseSelf-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative but works well in group environment
