To €100,000 DOE + Package 

Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of construction and engineering projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction, and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.           

The need now exists for an experienced and detail-oriented Design Manager to work on projects within various sectors such as Data Centres, Industrial, Life Sciences, Advanced Technology, and Fire Protection. As a Design Manager you will lead the design and planning of projects ensuring that all designs meet technical, operational, and strategic requirements including overseeing the design process, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

Lead the design and development of projects, including space planning, infrastructure layout, and systems integration that align with organisational goals and industry best practices.  

Manage design projects, surveying, and BIM modelling team from conception through to completion monitoring progress and resolve design-related issues and conflicts.  

Work closely with managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless design execution. 

Oversee the development of detailed design documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.  

Work closely with internal and external teams to gather requirements and ensure design alignment.  

Communicate design concepts & progress including design changes, approvals, and project records to senior management.  

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related qualifications.  

5+ experience as Design Manager within construction including proven ability to manage design projects across all design phases. 

Strong understanding of regulations, statutory permits, industry standards, and best practices.  

Proficiency in designing software and tools including BIM 360.  

Effective communication both in German & English including interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with our German stakeholders.
