Kforce has a client in Palo Alto, CA that is seeking a Design Manager. Summary: Our client is looking for a Dynamic Design Manager who is passionate about our mission to join our energy engineering team with focus on manufacturing and R&D improvements. In this role, you will be asked to own and drive the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to build. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction and project management. Location: 3 days on site in Lathrop and 2 days on site in Fremont or open to 5 days onsite in Lathrop. Responsibilities: * Organize and manage design reviews, construction design packages and deliverables to support all aspects of construction: including scope of work, kick-off, MDR, 30%, 60%, 90%, IFP, IFC * Define strategies for design and engineering deliverables including construction and permit packages * Own the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to delivery to meet our aggressive goals * Manage permitting and construction documents including transmittals and RFI's * Implement engineering and design methodologies to support very aggressive program and construction schedules
