As a Design Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Aligning with SEL business strategy, goals, and vision, manage the full life cycle of projects to ensure successful completion from approval through handoff.
Effectively manage projects and teams through controlling scope, specifications, schedule, cost, quality and safety while preemptively initiating and communicating action to execute the plan.
Lead, measure and mentor staff, providing an environment which encourages teamwork, initiative, growth, and delivery of assignments.
Serve as company liaison with local authorities, regulatory bodies and other SEL departments by establishing timely communication and coordination of assigned work.
Establish and drive the use of KPI's specific to owned and leased assets.

You are willing to travel up to 25%
You have a bachelor's degree in Architecture
You have 10+ years' experience as a licensed Architect
You have a Washington/Idaho License with NCARB multi-state preferred
You have experience with real estate, commercial/industrial design, construction and facilities management
You have a working knowledge of structural engineering, health & safety legislation and building codes
You have proven project leadership skills with a successful track record of planning, execution and completion of projects
You have sound budgetary skills including estimating, bid review and project tracking.
You are building code fluency and first principles/innovative approaches to problem solving.
You have total project planning with a strong design background for grounds, exterior, interior and all FF&E scopes.
You have a proven competency in verbal and both hand and computer illustration to clearly communicate ideas.

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Design Manager, $91,100 - $142,700. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
