Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Mobility Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to Lead the delivery of mobility technologies through engagement with the client team, the client’s consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality and practical solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage the Mobility Design Delivery Program
Provide technical and expert support in the design and preparation of studies, reports, and recommendations for urban development/future mobility processes.
Manage design consultants within the context of Mobility Masterplans, Use case and Technology provision in line with the aims and vision of KSP.
Assist in development of innovative approaches to future transportation, Mobility Masterplans, and processes, based on global trends but considering local contexts, demands, and constraints.
Identify opportunities for enhancement of existing urban infrastructure assets with elements of future technology including datasets, networks, connected devices, and sensors, for future smart services and applications.
Lead the mobility input on master planning and plot development schemes, including multi-modal network demand estimates, spatial planning, design guidelines, and operations.
Managing a team to deliver a transport strategy as and when required.
Providing design advice for accommodating future mobility opportunities within a retrofit environment or new masterplan proposal (e.g. best practice for micro mobility design and future proofing for zero-emission, shared and automated vehicles).
Developing concise, high-level reporting and presenting to senior clients, underpinned by strong analytical skills and technical subject matter knowledge.
Research and benchmark the latest in mobility technologies and services providers, including global suppliers, service offering, technical specifications, and operational requirements.
Liaise and work collaboratively with the wider project delivery team, including transportation & infrastructure, Sustainability, Digital Advisory, and Master Planning specialists to ensure the mobility requirements are integrated in all aspects of design.
Identify opportunities for improving ways of working, including the implementation of alternative graphic and illustration tools.
Work alongside our clients Urban Design teams to identify a portfolio of Mobility solutions with potential to improve the quality of life and address dimensions such as Smart mobility, Smart Environment, Net Zero Agenda, Smart Living and Smart Governance.
Implements numerous data collections and sharing initiatives across the project, collaborating with regional and private partners
Coordinates, tracks and oversees the implementation of the Smart Mobility Program initiatives
Works closely with the Department of Transportation and other external agencies to secure and execute grant agreements and works in close coordination with the Design Consultants and AHJ.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) and typically 15+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
