The Foundation Brake Design Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of brake calipers, brake friction, brake discs and parking brake systems. The position will include all aspects of component design to ensure all system and vehicle level functional objectives are met. Job responsibilities include but not limited to managing the release of the components, bill of material, CAD drawings, design verification plan, physical testing, management of suppliers, issuing change notices, vehicle build support, issue resolution, and PPAP.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree field. 5+ years of experience. Aptitude for mechanical engineering demonstrated by work experience or academic projects. Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong GD&T skill set. Strong project management skills/experience. Proficiency in engineering disciplines, such as DVPR, DFMEA, etc. Formal training/experience in problem solving, quality and reliability. Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green belt / Black Belt certification. Action oriented and customer focused. Experience in manufacturing of vehicle components and vehicle assembly.
