Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Design Technician, we'll count on you to:

With occasional assistance from project engineers and managers, produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering and utility designs using computer-aided drafting softwareWork productively in a team environmentPerform Field Liaison Duties with up to 20% field dutiesPerform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of civil related drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experienceHighly proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3DCivil 3D use of alignments, profiles, surfaces, assemblies, corridors, and earthwork quantity calculationsUnderstanding of Survey Coordinate SystemsExperience with ArcGISKnowledge of Microsoft Office softwareExperience with applying drafting standards and established company proceduresAble to work in a team environmentExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAttention to detailSelf-motivated and willing to learnUnderstanding of MicroStation and Open Road DesignerA strong knowledge of plan preparationCapable of preparing plans and profiles, grading, drainage, and site improvement designsAssociate Degree or vocational school training in draftingAutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 or 2020Experience with and use of ArcGIS
