We need your help to make this happen. As an Electrical Design Technician, you will work with a team of engineers and technicians to develop and bring new products to the market. The focus of this role will be to conduct electrical product development and test activities for active implantable medical devices such as Neurostimulator systems for Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation, and Sacral Nerve Modulation. The individual will support all phases of product development including definition, design, troubleshooting, characterization, and verification of implantable neurostimulators as well as external patient programmers and inductive rechargers. The individual will be an integral part of the R&D organization delivering the highest quality, life changing technology to our patients. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. + Support the definition, characterization, and verification of low-power analog and digital circuitry for Medtronic Neurological devices as part of the product development cycle + Work with complex custom electronics and test equipment; define engineering test environment; provide schematics to build prototype test boards; design and build test fixtures; create and work with LabView/Python code + Perform and support Product Development activities such as equipment qualification, non-product software validation, test method development and validation + Develop protocols, collect data, perform basic data analysis, and prepare reports + Work closely with other design teams (Electrical, Systems, Firmware and IC Design) to root cause design issues, create test suites, characterize, and ultimately verify electrical designs + Design and execute test methods to characterize electrical designs and verify adherence to standards, product, and systems requirements + Interface with certified test houses to verify/certify to global regulatory standards including ISO 14708-3, ISO/TS 10974, IEC 60601-2-33, etc. + Work under minimal supervision + Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.
