Design Thinking and Innovation Lab Assistant - Temporary Part Time
Position Details: The Lab Assistant will provide support to course lectures and interactive design learning activities in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship cornerstone course, Design Thinking and Innovative Solutions. Responsibilities include developing and supporting both classroom and experiential activities focused on teaching the fundamental principles of innovation and human centered design. Course model involves two weekly 75 – 100 minute classroom sessions per section. Learning activities will be taught within the established behavioral outcomes of the course and delivered to both large and small groups of undergraduate students working on applied design projects on and around the Loyola University Maryland campus. The types of activities may include but are not limited to storytelling and the i6 and IDEO concepts of brainstorming, team building, creativity, feedback, personal and group presentations, user interviews, iteration, co-creation, gap analysis, and implementation. Details: Successful candidates for any staff, faculty, or administrative position at Loyola University Maryland will be subject to a pre-employment background check. Loyola University Maryland requires that all faculty, staff, and administrators receive COVID -19 vaccination unless exempted for medical or religious reasons in accordance with University policy. If Part-time, list #hrs/week: Approximately 3‐6 hours per week, depending on department needs
