About the team

The team is part of Capital Markets Tech CoEs, helping our businesses bring product to market more efficiently with UX, Data and Delivery acceleration through guidance, special interest groups and shared source.

As FinTech software evolves and customer expectations grow based on client’s experience of modern consumer software an intuitive and modern user interface (UI) is a must for any digital product such as a mobile app, website, SaaS, B2B or enterprise line of business software. This is a Central Team to enable product teams to go to market faster at a lower cost, producing user centered high quality software more effectively by providing the guidance and support to allow them to implementing best practices.

What you will be doing

You will be dedicated to a product or product line while working under the UX Center of Excellence team. You will have the opportunity to:

Work closely with internal product managers, business teams, developers and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goalsManage and maintain design strategy and explore solutions from concept to completionTranslate complex design problems, user pain points and research findings into practical and impactful design solutions, especially in the financial domainQuickly convert concepts and ideas to working POCs using the design thinking processQuickly visualize and prototype ideas to communicate concepts, conveying design ideas via sketches, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to the customerRapidly test and create iterative designs that meet project objectives and fit within the FIS BrandWearing a customer hat while designing solutionsBe responsible for the delivery of usable, accessible and high-quality designsHost design thinking sessions within the scrum teams to analyze user needs and requirementsRun Design Quality reviews, Usability testing and track the progressLead CoE charter including collaboration, workshops and publishingParticipate in hiring progress and mentor the junior team members

What you bring

We need organized, highly technically skilled, motivated self-starters, with deep experience of the modern stack and a track record of delivery.  Core skills are:

8-10 years of experience in UI & UX Design with a proven track record of successAbility to clearly articulate a problem space and design a solution that meets the user needs and business goalsAbility to quickly incorporate feedback and efficiently produce high-quality professional designsAbility to think holistically about the UI and scale in the futureSelf-starter and ability to work without much supervisionAbility to accurately set, manage and meet deadlinesExpert in using design & collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro or similarAbility to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of management in an organized & professional mannerBasic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate better collaboration with the development team
