Description
We are seeking a Natural Gas Designer/Engineer to join our Gas Design Team out of the Orlando office. This position will be primarily supporting Underground Natural Gas Pipeline Design projects for utility companies throughout Florida. Designing elements include Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Flanges, Valves, Bypass Valves, Meters, Flow pipes, etc.
Other responsibilities include:
- Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline as-builts and mechanical detail drawings
- Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
- Generate bill of materials
- Ability to work independently
- Print working drawings using a plotter
- Create estimated time requirements for projects
- Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
- Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis
- Operate a scanner to duplicate project documents and scan field notes
- Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc.
- Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure
- Verify and organize field visit survey notes
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years Pipeline design or related Experience a must
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) a plus
- AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation Experience
- ESRI/GIS Experience a plus
- Strong communication skills and detail-oriented

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
