Overview: Manage seasonal product design execution to achieve overall creative and business objectives.  

Responsibilities

Coordinate and unify creative execution of product.Manage creative and technical development of product within merchandise assortment strategy.Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials, and interrupt them in a brand right way.Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity while keeping factory price point in mind.Conduct fittings and make all necessary updates post fitting.Create design cards for first protos, including measurements and construction details.Develop and counter source materials/fabric and trim with production and suppliers.Approval of lab dips and print submits.Understand seasonal design theme, mood and colors and support senior designer to achieve cohesive line building.Mange and mentor direct report.Work by calendar deadline and allocate tasks to team members and check and supervise their work qualities

Qualifications

5-8 years Design experience Strong time management skills.Jewelry design experience.Experience designing hats, socks, scarves, and items.Detail oriented and organized.Highly proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Outlook and Microsoft office experience.Strong technical skillsPLM experienceHigh taste level and creative ability.Ability to manage, coach, and develop othersWorking knowledge of accessories construction.Ability to conduct color/print researchKnowledge of seasonal silhouette and color trendsUnderstanding of J. Crew Factory Brand, ability to implement into designProven ability to research and apply market/fashion trend informationDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong organizational, communication, and written skillsBA accessories or fashion Design

Salary Range: $86,400.00 - $108,000.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
