Intermediate level Mechanical Designer will work with some latitude and minimal supervision, performs diverse and intermediate level design assignments. Typically works in an NPI environment where creative mechanization of design concepts are turned into new product/tooling.
What You Will Be Doing
Ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing or International equivalent at an advanced levelMust be able to 3D model several complex devices and smaller housingsMust be able to perform intermediate level linear stackup studiesSolid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processesMay serve as administrator for CAD and PDM software is it relates to usersMay check, mentor and direct drafters and designers in proper techniques and application of GD&TWhat We Are Looking For
Level 2:
US – Associates Degree, 2-year Technical Degree, certificate or applicable experienceMCAD drafting, general machining, fabrication, and manufacturing knowledge is requiredLevel 3:
US – Associates Degree, 2-year Technical Degree, certificate or applicable experience5+ years of Designer experience or combination of Bachelor’s degreeAdvanced CAD Software skills and computer skills including ERP systemsThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
