Job Summary:

The Designer - Universities will be a highly skilled and creative professional responsible for contributing to the design and development of innovative and inspiring university campuses within the NEOM The Line project. This role requires a strong understanding of educational architecture, a student-centered design approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of design concepts and schemes for university buildings, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and the unique educational needs of the institution.

Prepare and present design proposals, sketches, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty, and students.

Develop and detail design drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.

Conduct research and analysis on relevant industry trends, best practices, and innovative educational design solutions.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, educators, and other design professionals to ensure the integrated design and delivery of the project.

Assist in the selection of materials, finishes, and equipment.

Ensure the design complies with all relevant building codes, regulations, and educational standards.

Contribute to the development of design documentation and specifications.

Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in educational architecture and technology.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a strong focus on educational facility design (universities, colleges, schools).

Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.  

Passion for innovative design and a strong commitment to creating inspiring learning environments.
