Your Role

As a Senior Designer at Gensler, you will lead creative, collaborative teams dedicated to design innovation and excellence. Use your unique design perspective to bring new approaches to design process and strategy, develop next-generation talent, and help our clients redesign what’s possible.

What You Will Do

Lead creative efforts on a variety of client projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategiesMentor and provide creative direction to junior design teamsClosely collaborate with Design Directors for personal career development, coaching, and mentorshipPlay a key role in a range of interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), finish palettes, and lighting.Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for constructionProvide design support and documentation guidance during completion and execution of design conceptsAct as the key design interface with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricatorsCollaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophyParticipate in business development and marketing efforts

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school10+ years of interior design experienceStrong leadership, communication, and relationship management skillsProficient in Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other modeling software programsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasLEED accreditation, preferredNCIDQ accreditation, preferredStrong corporate workplace experience and hospitality experience is desired
