What will you be doing?
As a Desktop Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to end-users, maintaining desktop systems, and ensuring reliable operation across computer systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in resolving issues, managing user accounts, and supporting desktop environments both on-site and remotely. You will contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient computing environment for our intelligence customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct support for desktop systems by troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure proper system access and security. Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications. Perform regular system maintenance and updates to optimize performance and security. Respond to and resolve user tickets in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Assist with the deployment of new technologies and software, including setup and configuration. Document technical solutions and maintain a knowledge base for common issues to facilitate quicker resolutions. Work with other IT teams to address complex issues and enhance overall service delivery. Provide basic network troubleshooting and support as required. Conduct user training sessions on new software or hardware to ensure effective utilization.
