The Desktop Systems Engineer ensures global standardization of IT desktop design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of programs supporting company business processes and operations. The Desktop Support Engineer analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems. This role will also plan and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated desktop systems.

Ensure effective end user device support of laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and peripherals;Establish global image;Develop processes to efficiently and accurately set up hardware for new hires and replacement equipment;Troubleshoot high-level hardware and software applications in a Microsoft Windows environment

Responsibilities:

Ensuring global AD standards;Microsoft Intune/Autopilot engineering as we deploy applications in a worldwide environmentDefine global standards for client backups,Manage desktop encryption standards;Enforce desktop hardware and software standardsMaintain standard operating systems, endpoint protection, and hardware destruction standards;Manage all ITSM solutions,Drive adoption of MDM, application packaging, vulnerability management, software distribution, and remote desktop management;Ensure software compliance. Establish a global standard for training environments.

Required Experience & Skills:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fieldSolid familiarity with conditional accessSolid familiarity with PowerShellWorking knowledge of networking topologies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCPKnowledge around RDS, Group Policy, Windows Firewall, MS Defender, LAPSExperience working in both a cloud native and hybrid Active Directory environmentsIn depth experience with Intune, Autopilot, M365, Entra requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to work independently and with strong time management skills;Must be customer-service oriented;Maintain consistent work hours;Experience with support of a global environment preferred;Solid problem solving and analytical skills;Good communication skills (written and verbal);Self-starter who continually develops and broadens their skill set;Demonstrates technical proficiency through the pursuit and achievement of industry certifications;Flexibility and willingness to be on-call and available, including weekends, and participate in a team on-call rotation;Works with other IT and software development teams to ensure technology process and support integration;Organization and documentation skills;Previous experience with Beyond Trust Privilege Manager a plusExperience with Flexera SVM and FNMS a plus
