Desktop Engineer

To Apply for this Job Click Here We are looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our team! Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Desktop Support & Troubleshooting: Provide on-site and remote support for desktop hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, and other devices. Manage system imaging and maintenance for Windows and macOS.

Ticketing & Tier II Support: Manage and resolve service desk tickets, providing Tier II support for complex desktop issues. Escalate issues as necessary.Windows Imaging: Support Windows imaging for desktop provisioning and system refreshes. Ensure smooth deployment across the organization.Microsoft Windows OS Expertise: Provide expert-level support for Microsoft Windows OS, ensuring compliance with system configurations and security policies.MS Office, O365 & Video Conferencing Support: Troubleshoot and support MS Office, O365, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom). Assist users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware (computers, printers, peripherals). Deploy software updates and patches using tools like SCCM. Assist with procurement and inventory management.

User Account & Access Management: Create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory. Implement group policies and security configurations to ensure compliance with best practices.

System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor desktop performance, ensuring optimal functionality. Perform system updates, security patches, and antivirus maintenance. Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.

End-User Training & Documentation: Provide training on software applications and operating systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Collaboration with IT Teams: Work with network and systems administrators to ensure desktop integration with IT infrastructure. Assist in IT projects, including software migrations and system upgrades.

Security & Compliance: Ensure desktops meet security standards (antivirus, firewall, encryption). Participate in security audits and implement security measures to protect company data.

Customer Service & Communication: Provide exceptional customer service by resolving service tickets promptly. Communicate effectively with end users to resolve issues.

Asset Management: Track desktop assets, including software licenses and hardware. Oversee the disposal of outdated equipment following proper procedures.

Project Involvement: Participate in desktop-related IT projects (hardware refresh, OS rollouts, software deployments). Assist in testing and evaluating new desktop technologies.

SharePoint Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SharePoint, assisting users with document sharing and collaboration features.
