As a Desktop Engineer at KeyBank, your mission is to deliver exceptional support to all employees. You’ll play a vital role in resolving support requests, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining seamless service delivery. From deploying IT assets to KeyBank employees to providing hands-on deskside support for computer hardware and software, you’ll be at the forefront of technology solutions. Collaborating with various lines of business across the bank, you’ll contribute to a thriving IT ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Imaging, Configuration, and Troubleshooting: You’ll handle the imaging, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of personal computers and software. Your technical expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.Documentation and Reporting: As an engineer, you’ll create comprehensive documentation and run reports. Clear communication and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.Solution-Oriented Approach: You’ll actively engage with clients, working together to devise innovative solutions that enhance services. Your ability to think critically and propose improvements will be highly valued.Stay Current with Technology: The ever-evolving tech landscape demands that you stay informed about the latest technologies Key offers. Your curiosity and adaptability will drive success.On-Site Presence: This role is not remote. You’ll be based either at Key Tower or 4900 Tiedeman, ensuring a strong on-site presence.

Required Skills

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in technical support within a computer support environment. However, we’ll consider less time if you demonstrate a natural aptitude for the role.Education: An associate degree in computer science and/or business, or equivalent work experience.Customer-Centric Attitude: You thrive in a customer-oriented, positive team environment. Your friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills set you apart.Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Essential Job Functions

Platform Support: Engage in supporting Key’s computer platforms across corporate, campus, and data center locations.Project Support: Provide assistance on single projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.Asset Management: Track corporate IT assets throughout their lifecycle.Desktop Application Maintenance: Install, support, and maintain desktop applications to keep our systems running smoothly.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $65,000 to $80,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
