Desktop Engineer I
As Nuvolo’s Desktop Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a desktop/laptop environment to integrate corporate software and deliver it seamlessly to employees locally and remotely. Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and support desktop Operating Systems with application setup, delivery, and maintenance. Work with team members to resolve issues and implement best practice solutions. ** We are a highly automated and cloud-focused IT Shop. We are applying enterprise standards to a highly remote and mobile workforce using all SAAS/Cloud Software.** **As a Desktop Engineer I, your role will include:** + Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Mac OS with the ability to troubleshoot advanced problems in a Desktop Environment; + Ability to build images, configure, customize, and deploy new desktop and laptop computers; + Proven understanding of automation scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash in Windows and macOS operating systems under MDM; + Diagnosis, investigation, recovery, and resolution of various hardware problems and software issues,including working with hardware vendors and local repair shops; + Develop, implement, and maintain software and hardware deployment and upgrade schedules; + Execute onboarding and offboarding sessions with end users across all office locations of the company; + Maintain the company IT asset inventory up to date; + Work with the HR team on planning and execution of IT activities related to staffing; + Track and monitor the performance of the anti-malware and anti-virus solution(s); + Document work-related knowledge articles and maintain up-to-date the IT work instructions Knowledge base; **This role could be a fit for you if you bring the following:** + Positive attitude and a passion for solving complex problems with the goal of NOT having to solve that problem ever again! ; + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from a four-year college or university and five years related client support experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Basic knowledge and understanding of: + Microsoft products and Microsoft Office Suite; + MS Azure AD and Endpoint Manager; + Endpoint Detection & Response and Anti-Malware solutions; + JAMF Pro Mobile Device Management for Apple devices; + Basic experience and understanding of Security policies and procedures; + Knowledge management and sharing between the team members; + Excellent client service skills with the ability to organize priorities and act with a sense of urgency when necessary; + Good English speaking and writing skills; **Bonus points for:** + Experience with ServiceNow ITSM module for incident and request management; + Experience with building and deploying desktop applications via MDM.
