Job Seekers, Please send resumes to resumes@hireitpeople.com Our client, an international financial institution based in Washington, DC has a position available for a Desktop Integration Engineer: Desktop IT Integration Engineer (Windows Systems Engineering & Development) is responsible for maintaining Windows Client image components for 30000+ endpoints and develop automation utilities & scripts for Enterprise Desktops/Laptops.
Duties and Accountabilities:Ensure the reliability of endpoint productivity platform. Provide automation for Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 applications to deploy and maintain stable and effective desktop platform.Work closely with IT & helpdesk teams in identifying areas for automation to reduce support call volume and make IT operations consistent by automating repeated tasks by developing programs using Visual Studio .Net.Implement integration plans. Interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into the integration testing process.Perform troubleshooting for third tier incidents that require software and network forensic analysis, in close collaboration with other IT support teams. Work with vendors like Microsoft to escalate third tier issues.Documents detailed system specifications for the developed utilities.Selection Criteria:BS or graduate degree in computer science/engineering with proven experience directly related to computer systems, software development, testing, integration, and deployment.Minimum 2 years of related experience developing utilities for Windows 10 platform using Visual Studio.Net.Engineering and Proven experience with installation, configuration, operational support and in-depth troubleshooting of Windows 10 Operating System.In depth understanding of Windows OS internals (kernel structure, driver model).Expertise in Windows Active Directory Structure, Schema and Group Policies and Microsoft PKI Infrastructure.Scripting skills for developing system utilities using PowerShell.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments; flexibility and the ability to effectively prioritize conflicting demands in high-pressure and time-critical situations are essential.
