This Desktop Support (DTS) position is part of the Field Tech team and is the person primarily supporting locations in the Dane County area. You will get paid mileage and travel time, up to 1.5 hours away from territory. Some people work 4 ten hours day but can work a 5 day work week as well. This role will work 100% onsite.
The Desktop Support technician will be in charge of repairing and maintaining thousands of desktops, laptops and other PC devices. They will also be installing new PC's and laptops to replace end of life cycle equipment. The technician will be doing those tasks while maintaining inventory and properly disposing of out dated equipment by recycling those items per policies. The technician will also maintain and close work orders in the ticketing system. The technician receives oversight from the Manager to ensure that policy, procedure and methodology are being followed.
Provides expert level technical assistance in support and preparation of desktop supported applications and hardware. Requires extensive knowledge of and experience with desktop technology including, but not limited to, desktop operating systems, desktop applications, desktop hardware, laptop systems, desktop printer support, PDAs, Black Berries, other supported wireless devices and peripherals. This Title receives escalated level support issues from helpdesk and Enterprise Support Center. Has 4-7 years of experience in Desktop Support. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

We are looking for someone with strong desktop support experience in an enterprise sized organization. This will have a minimum of 3 years of dedicated desktop support experience as they will be required to work independently (often times they will be the only person at the location) and do a lot of troubleshooting/diagnostic work. This person will be responsible for reimaging pc's and doing a lot of printer support.
This person will occasionally travel to other locations and they will be using their own vehicle to do so.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00
