Desktop Support Administrator
Hiring for a Desktop Support Administrator in Stony Point, NYJob Description

The Desktop Support Technician will aid employees in diagnosing and resolving computer-related issues. This role requires a strong understanding of computer software and hardware, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with users.

ResponsibilitiesRespond to user inquiries regarding various software and hardware problems.Assist with software installations and troubleshoot related issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate staff.Regularly communicate with the support team to discuss recurring issues and share solutions and best practices.Participate in training sessions on new equipment, software, platforms, and other products; help develop user manuals and related documentation.Provide training on hardware and software usage to end users as experience grows.Assign helpdesk tickets and escalate tier 2 tickets as needed.Manage the VOIP phone system, including assigning and managing desk phones for employees.Oversee printer administration: handle printer issues, replace toner, and request repairs from vendors.Troubleshoot hardware, network, configuration, and application issues with devices.Manage remote connectivity and VPN for users.Create and manage new Active Directory, Email, and Epicor accounts for users.Install desktop applications.Administer Ninja for remote access and Windows updates.Perform physical inventory and other related duties as assigned.Essential Skills2+ years IT Help Desk experienceThorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, network devices, and peripheralsProficiency in troubleshooting hardware, network, configuration, and application issuesExperience with software installation and related problem-solvingCustomer service and help desk skillsRemote desktop support experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience managing VOIP phone systemsKnowledge of Active Directory, Email, and Epicor account managementFamiliarity with Ninja for remote access and Windows updatesWork Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The IT team consists of only two people, fostering a close-knit and collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.85/hr.
