Desktop Support Analyst
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts. The role is fully onsite in the pharmaceutical industry and requires the handling of escalated tickets and providing application support. The Desktop Support Analyst will be integral in maintaining smooth operations, ensuring the seamless use of software and hardware, and providing excellent customer support. Responsibilities: • Handle escalated tickets promptly and efficiently, ensuring all issues are resolved to satisfaction. • Provide comprehensive onsite support to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems. • Offer support services for the installation of approved software applications. • Conduct uninstall/reinstall procedures for approved software applications on various devices. • Handle onboarding/offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new and exiting employees. • Provide support for conference room and audiovisual equipment to facilitate smooth meetings and presentations. • Perform application support duties, ensuring all applications are functioning optimally. • Provide printer and phone support, ensuring all communication devices are in good working condition. • Employ skills in Desktop Support, Windows 11, MS Windows 10, MS Office 365, Ticketing System, Computer Imaging, Desktop Imaging, Imaging Devices, Imaging Equipment, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams to accomplish tasks effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar IT support role • Proficient in Desktop Support, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system issues • In-depth knowledge of Windows 11 and MS Windows 10 operating systems • Proficient in the use of MS Office 365 applications • Experience in using a ticketing system for logging and resolving user issues • Familiarity with computer imaging and desktop imaging processes • Knowledge of imaging devices and imaging equipment • Experience in using Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual meetings and collaborations • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with end-users and technical teams • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as in a team environment • Relevant IT certification will be an advantage.
