Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a detailed and organized Desktop Support Analyst in Newark, NJ. In this role, you will be vital in ensuring seamless operations within our team by providing technical support, maintaining computer systems and equipment, and educating users about system use and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Providing timely responses to user-reported issues through email, phone, or the ticketing system
• Troubleshooting and rectifying hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Accurate documentation of incidents, problem areas, and resolutions as a reference for future instances
• Installation and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
• Regular maintenance and upgrades of computer systems and equipment for optimal performance
• Ensuring the proper functioning of security tools such as antivirus software
• Training and educating users on basic troubleshooting and system use
• Guiding users on the best practices for maintaining system security
• Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex issues
• Escalating unresolved problems to higher-level support or vendors when necessary.
Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development is required, with a focus on debugging and improving existing applications.
• Demonstrated experience with Cisco Technologies, including understanding of networking protocols and hardware.
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies, specifically in relation to server and desktop virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair common issues.
• Experience with Dell Technologies, particularly with server and storage solutions.
• Ability to service and support Apple Devices, including Mac computers and iOS devices.
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies, with a focus on data protection and recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in Configuration Management, with an emphasis on maintaining system security and performance standards. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
