Description We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Pipeline industry, stationed in Stockton, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity where you will be instrumental in providing technical support and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems for our end-users. Your duties will encompass a wide range of tasks including addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities: • Handle IT support requests through various communication channels such as phone calls, emails, or in person. • Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to hardware, software, and network. • Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and other devices. • Assist in the management of user accounts, including resetting passwords and providing access when required. • Document all support activities and escalate complex issues when necessary. • Utilize your skills in 'Computer Hardware' and 'Active Directory' to efficiently complete tasks. Requirements • Applicant must possess a strong understanding and proficiency in Computer Hardware. • Experience with Active Directory is required. • Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. • Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably within the Oil & Gas - Pipeline industry. • Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues. • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. • Strong knowledge of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when needed. • Strong customer service skills and a detail oriented demeanor. • Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Ability to work flexible hours, as IT support may be needed outside of standard business hours.
