Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the manufacturing industry located in Farmers Branch, Texas, United States. The primary role of the Desktop Support Analyst will be to manage and operate audio-visual (AV) equipment in various settings, support users with AV related issues, and perform maintenance and repairs on AV equipment. Title: Desktop Support Location: Farmers Branch, Tx Pay: 25-30 Duration: 6 month contract to hire Responsibilities: • Manage, operate, and maintain audio-visual (AV) equipment used in different settings such as meetings, conferences, presentations, training sessions, and events • Provide technical support during events, including monitoring sound levels, adjusting lighting, managing presentations, and troubleshooting technical glitches • Perform pre-event checks of all AV equipment to ensure optimal functionality and to avoid disruptions • Provide technical assistance to end-users on the effective use of AV equipment, including training on basic operation and troubleshooting common issues • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with AV equipment under pressure during live events • Carry out routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and prolong its lifespan • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning AV equipment or coordinate repairs with external vendors when necessary • Install and configure new AV equipment and systems, including running cables, connecting devices, and programming control systems • Maintain appropriate stock levels of essential AV equipment and supplies, including cables, batteries, adapters, and other commonly used items • Document, track, escalate, and notify issues within the support team, providing day-to-day support and troubleshooting of user AV related issues. Requirements • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or similar role in the manufacturing industry. • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of Audio Video setup and troubleshooting. • Proficient in using and maintaining Crestron equipment and systems. • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues. • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software. • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills. • Customer-oriented attitude. • Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and management. • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field. • Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco are a plus. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
