DMS, Inc., a BRMi company, provides on-site IT support to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Frederick, MD. DMS is seeking a Computer Technician to support NCI staff. The IT Support Technician will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all end users. This is an entry level IT computer support position.
**Must have 1 year of hands on experience troubleshooting software, hardware, and equipment**

Responsibilities Familiarity with Windows 10 and macOS operating systemsLogically map network drivesInstall various softwareConnect to and configure printersSetup, connect and configure computers, monitors, and peripheralsRemove and/or install computer internal hardware componentsMust be able to troubleshoot computer issues using various methodsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Experience installing computer/network software and equipment software.
Must have 1 year experience troubleshooting software, hardware, and equipment
CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred)Applicants must be able to routinely lift and carry 40-50 lbs.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.Must be able to move around/under desks and equipment.Walking between buildings on a large research campusDeliver computing equipment to staff membersSetup computing equipment on-site to meet customer preferences.Must be able to move around/under desks and equipment.Must be punctual, reporting to work and scheduled appointmentsMust work well with othersGood communication skills when working with customers via email, chat, phone, and in person.Must be able to thoroughly document completed tasks in an electronic ticketing system, currently using ServiceNow.Must be able to follow documented proceduresMust have a valid driver’s licenseAbility to obtain and maintain a public trustHours
