Desktop Technician (NYC)

Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Support Technician who can report to their New York location 5 days a week and will function as IT support for the office. Responsibilities will include internal deskside support, in-office hardware set up, and the supporting of up to 200 internal employees. They will be answering a ticketing queue via phone, email, and Sys-Aid. The ideal candidate needs to have good time management skills as they will have to prioritize in-office, deskside support before handling tickets. This position is set up as a 6 month contract to hire. Following conversion, this person will be expected to travel and provide support around the East coast and some of the Midwest.

Skills and Requirements
· 3+ years of experience in an IT support or desktop support role
· 3+ years of experience with Tier 1 troubleshooting
o Cisco or Webex, Teams, Zoom
Microsoft Office products
· 3+ years of experience with any ticketing system
o Client uses Sys-Aid
Remedy, Jira, ServiceNow are suitable alternatives
· 3+ years of experience with deskside support
o Hardware setup, conference room set up, monitor/desk set up
Previous Audio/Visual technician experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Strong time management skills and ability to function at a high level · Previous experience with any phone management systems
o Microsoft Intune
Mobile Device Management
· Active Directory null
