Destructive Physical Analysis DPA Lab Technician
**Job Title: Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Lab Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Lab Technician to join our Electrical Component and Material Lab (ECML). This role involves supporting the DPA Lab with performing DPA testing on a wide variety of electronic components including passives, actives, connectors, hybrids, IMAs, and COTS. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, allowing for a compressed workweek where employees work 80 hours over nine days instead of ten. **Responsibilities** + Perform DPA testing on a wide variety of electronic components such as passives, actives, connectors, hybrids, IMAs, and COTS. + Conduct experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories. + Perform reliability analyses and isolate problems for further analysis. + Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. + Conduct design experiments to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. + Evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. + Collect and document results, generating reports as required. + Advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of experience performing technician responsibilities in a lab environment. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in a DPA Lab or electronics failure analysis lab environment. + Familiarity with Mil-Std-883, Mil-Std-750, and Mil-Std-1580. + Experience with Destructive Physical Analysis Lab equipment such as microscopes, bond-pull, die-shear, SEM/EDX, cross-sectioning, etc. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for a better work-life balance.
