Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the entire rebar detailing process and ensuring that reports meet customer time and quality requirements.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Assigns all detailing work for the location to an appropriate Detailer. Ensures detailing is done efficiently and meets the customers' delivery needs.
Supervises Detailers to ensure that performance standards are consistently met and that the quality of work aligns with project requirements.
Coordinates outside detailing requirements and contracts with vendors.
Oversees the productivity and work quality of Detailers to ensure efficiency, accuracy and quality of presentation.
Manages the detailing assignment to outside vendors to obtain high-quality purchased detailing at fair rates.
Reviews all extras and changes to contracts detailed in-house or by outside vendors. Coordinates with sales personnel so that customers are properly advised and billed in accordance with such changes.
Generates reports as requested by management, including tons detailed per minute/hour, tons gained through detailing.
Stays updated on new technology in detailing methods and equipment. Share your recommendations with management to help White Cap work efficiently and effectively.

Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years detailing experience.
2+ years management experience.
Ability to create rebar drawings in Auto/Rebar CAD and up to date on CRSI and manuals of standard practice.
