Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release. 

What you'll do: Detention Officers are responsible for the custody and discipline of non-citizens assigned to the unit. 

Essential Functions:

Search for contraband and provide security.  Count, feed and supervise detainees in housing, work, and other areas.  Perform specific security functions including ‘pat’ and ‘strip’ searches, by squatting and bending to perform such functions. Transfer and transport detainees by walking, driving, or riding in vehicles.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.  STC and 832 certifications preferred.  Prior corrections experience is preferred.  Must be at least 21 years of age.  Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
