Developer, IT Enterprise Application Senior

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) - Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Developer, Senior Enterprise Applications.

The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) is the central information technology organization for UMB. PRIMARY DUTIES

The IT Senior Enterprise Application Developer designs, develops and implements enterprise-wide application software solutions to meet campus business requirements. This position will have an in-depth understanding of the technical architecture of the enterprise applications including ERP and/or REDCap application and the ability to use a variety of complex techniques and tools to achieve the desired application functionality. Provides on-going support and maintenance of these critical enterprise-wide production systems.Designs, develops, tests, and maintains enterprise-wide software applications throughout the lifecycle from inception to implementation.Acts as an ITapplications expert for campusREDCap administrators and research staff.Translates functional requirements into technical design including system configuration and processing requirementsAssist in code migrations in development environments including REDCap module deploymentCreates and maintains scripts and other programming that utilize REDCap API for integrations.Communicates and coordinates with other team members to ensure project goals are met.Analyzes enterprise applications including ERP and/or REDCap software applications and evaluates campus requirements against available solutions.Identifies system inefficiencies and recommends effective solutions.Maximize function and effectiveness of enterprise applications by collaborating with database and systems administration staff.Interacts with functional staff and campus community to troubleshoot issues and design and implement resolutions.Ensures documentation, functional and technical specifications are up-to-date.May lead and train other staff associated with enterprise-wide application developmentPerforms other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience with ERP software packages (e.g., PeopleSoft/Oracle, Banner, etc.), or other enterprise-wide application software (e.g., COEUS, Maximus ERS).

Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C , PHP, Python required.

Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the UMB Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.

Salary Range:$117,000 - $140,000 per year (Commensurate with education and experience)
