As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.
**Overview**
This R&D position is based in Mexico tech center focused on leading digital capabilities for the Global BGCM category R&D team. This requires strong creative thinking skills and the ability to imagine future possibilities. The candidate will provide consumer centricity and technical leadership across BGCM R&D organization.
The candidate will demonstrate a range of skills, including ability to interpret R&D strategy, consumer, and technical insights to define problem to be solved through digital capabilities. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, apply technical expertise to solve complex problems and develop and share best practices with the global technical community is required for the role. The candidate will be able to leverage agile project management skills to develop project objectives and recommend action plans to implement key findings. Personal drive, organization, the ability to manage ambiguity and excellent communication skills will be the keys to success in this role.
+ Define the data needs to build the modeling & simulations tools and work with an internal teams or external organizations to design & gather data required to build models.
+ Plan, lead and manage modelling and simulation projects by collaborating with regional and platform teams.
+ Identify and apply appropriate digital capabilities to design, build, test and deliver models or alternatively, manage delivery through an external partner.
+ Work closely with engineers and scientists to define the complex technical challenges to be solved leveraging digital capabilities and collaborate with digital CoE team to execute the solutions.
+ Validate models and democratize it to the R&D teams to ensure learning is embedded into the business quickly to speed up innovation and product optimization.
+ Write best-practice documentation from learnings discovered. Because this is a rapidly changing field, you will research and keep up with developments in relevant modelling and simulation techniques.

**Qualifications & Requisite skills include:**
+ B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
+ 5-8 years of experience in a technical R&D role
+ Experience working with CPG industries is preferred.
+ Knowledge and experience in advanced statistical techniques and concepts including, regression, distribution properties, statistical testing, etc.
+ Data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableu, Quickbase etc
+ Strong communication skills, ability to influence decision makers, build relationships and drive to results.
+ Strong project planning & management skills
+ Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources to solve complex problems.
