Job Description
The Developer is responsible for the overall performance of the product through applying principles of software engineering to the design development maintenance testing and evaluation of the software. The Developer ensures timely delivery of high quality software within the release timelines and guidelines.
What you will be doing Develop complex code based on functional specifications; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standardsTranslate and analyze software requirements into design specifications and ensure adherence to requirementsPerform complex peer code review and analysis; provide insight on broader impact of software changesIncorporate the business value and identify the broader impact to the software; influence and provide technical guidance to other team membersTest code to verify it meets the technical specifications and is working as intended, before submitting to code reviewCreate and apply automated tests and test principles to software changes, including (but not limited to) unit testsInfluence and lead on standards and processes of team and events, including planning, work estimation, solution demos, reviews, and implementation design of code discussionsContribute to the implementation of a delivery pipeline, including test automation, security, and performanceUnderstand business, application, and coding tasks to make recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentationResearch complex escalations for production issues or software code issues to ensure the stability of the applicationImplement development standards to ensure compliance with product and industry practices and regulationsMentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of teamComply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy What will make you successful Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant work experience of 7+ years.Programming Language: C#, JavaScript, TypeScriptFramework: ASP .NET, WPF and AngularDevelopment experience with Databases like MS SQL Server and/or OracleREST/SOAP API development Version control tools like Bitbucket, Git and/or TFSKnowledge with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, JenkinsExperience with data structures, algorithms, and software designExperience with continuous software deliverySignificant experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript.Experience working in Windows/Linux development environment, working with open source tools/platformsDemonstrated experience with build environments and delivery pipelinesExperience with test automation and continuous integration toolsExperience in software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworkStrong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tactStrong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areasStrong critical thinking and problem solving skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversightAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong attention to detailDriven to learn and stay current professionallyPassionate, competitive and intellectually curiousSharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitudeDemonstrated ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partnersGood ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensusStrong at using original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutionsStrong ability to provide technical and constructive feedback to team membersUp to 10% travel time requiredHyland’s Offering
