We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do:

Summary:

As part of the SAP BTP Cross Projects organization, we are seeking a Developer to enhance our teams in Potsdam/Berlin - led by Lutz Gericke and Thomas Kowark - in improving SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and enabling composability. Our role is to develop BTP’s capabilities and support key projects. You will work within technology-focused teams and contribute to the development of enterprise software. We emphasize leveraging our collective knowledge to ensure the success of our tasks and these projects.

Currently, we are delivering features for SAP Build Process Automation, we participate in a Cross-Product-Architecture Working Group focusing on concepts to support a “Composable Enterprise”, we are running explorations in the field of GenAI, and we collaborate with Product Engineering and BTP Service teams to jointly work on cross-priorities. Our dynamic assignments require individuals who can adapt to new challenges and continually develop their skills. We seek someone comfortable with regularly encountering new topics. This position involves a balanced mix of conceptual work and practical activities.

The Role:

You contribute to the development of features in different products or product-like frontrunner projects. You investigate software design alternatives and discuss your findings with relevant stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to continuously learn new things – from technology to business. You evaluate current SAP solutions to identify functional and experience gaps.

What you bring:

You likely have reached a formal (university) degree, or you have proven your abilities through extensive practical working experience as a software developer. You have gained experience and confidence in multiple technology stacks, and you have a good judgement of which wrench to use for which nut. Ideally, you have first knowledge of SAP technologies and/or business applications. Microservice Architecture, API-first development, Containerization (Kubernetes, CloudFoundry, etc.) are known terms. You like to write good code together with your colleagues, practice code reviews, apply design patterns, and practice test-driven development. You like to communicate the results of your work in a clear manner. You speak German and/or English fluently.

We look forward to your application and are excited to get to know you personally. Please add an up-to-date CV to your application that highlights your most important career steps so far. If you want, feel free to add a letter that allows us to better understand your motivation, which skills you bring in to fill this role, and what your expectations are.
