What you'll do
We are looking for a Developer (Associate) (f/m/d) specialized in Node.JS microservices and PostgreSQL to join our development team at SAP Labs Berlin. The role involves working on new Cloud Automation service features and ensuring the reliability of SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA).
As Developer (Associate) (f/m/d) your responsibilities include to:
Participate in the development of new automation cloud services. Manage the build and deployment processes in production. Operate the service in production using monitoring and alerting tools.
What you bring
2+ years of relevant working experience. Strong skills in Node.JS, TypeScript, NestJS, and typeOrm for PostgreSQL access. Expertise in PostgreSQL, especially in query optimization and heavy load operation. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and scripts such as Terraform, Python, Jenkins, Groovy, and GitHub. Preferably experienced with Kafka and capable of leveraging Dynatrace and Kibana for troubleshooting. Knowledge of the Cloud Foundry platform is a plus. Strong team spirit, learning ability, autonomy, rigor, involvement, and rapid adaptation to new technologies.

SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA) is the SAP automation platform that allows SAP users to automate their business processes via Robotic Process Automation with minimal development, thanks to a simplified Low Code No Code user experience and Gen AI. SBPA is a highly scalable multi-tenant cloud application, hosting thousands of customers live. Platform deployment is managed, operated, and monitored by developers.
You will join the development team at SAP Labs Berlin, responsible for enhancing and maintaining the SBPA cloud services. The team works on services written in TypeScript/NestJS/typeOrm, running on Node.JS, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, with observability mostly handled through Dynatrace and Kibana. Additionally, some services are developed in JAVA using Spring SQL and also operated on PostgreSQL. The team values collaboration, rapid adaptation to new technologies, and ensuring the platform’s optimal performance and reliability.
