Developer Co-op, Data Platform

For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering and ideally have coding experience. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Salary Range: $3900 - $4900 / Month 

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed. 

Responsibilities

 

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures   Support Data and App Developers to complete the development work    Sustain positive relationships by discussing and communicating with Product Owners and collaborators to understand the business requirements    Support teams to coordinate work regarding Azure migration, demonstrating efficient communication and interpersonal skills    Work on both frontend and backend development with JavaScript or C#, .NET    Conduct data analysis using query language such as SQL   Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering  Preference will be given to students who have previous related coding and data engineering experience    Previous experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms (Azure) is an asset    Able to work efficiently independently as well as part of the team    Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently    Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment    Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand    Motivated and driven to learn    Self-starter with good problem-solving skills   About Teck
