Description We are seeking a Developer/Software Engineer in Kissimmee, Florida. As a part of our team, you will be tasked with creating innovative solutions, developing Java applications, and enhancing our customer experience. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product managers and story owners to design features and prioritize tasks. • Develop backend systems with Typescript. • Engineer solutions and code mobile applications. • Work on software design, coding, and assist software architects. • Participate in code reviews and performance tuning. • Solve problems by collaborating across multiple teams, from product to design. • Develop Java REST applications for enterprise or consumer use. • Handle virtual teams and work with resources in multiple sites (onsite, offshore, near shore). • Maintain a strong foundation in CS Fundamentals, especially around best practices in code quality and design patterns. • Work closely with the mobile team to establish data contracts. • Assemble releases and drive improvements in the delivery and release processes. • Own the design and development of software fixes, enhancements, components, and/or new software systems and applications. • Ensure security and follow OWASP recommendations. Requirements • Proficiency in JavaScript and Java software development • Strong understanding of Backend Development • Knowledge of REST API development and implementation • Familiarity with Agile methodologies • Ability to select appropriate components for software projects • Demonstrated experience in coding and enhancement of software • Understanding of best practices in software development • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Proven ability in planning and time management • Ability to adhere to security protocols in software development • Proficiency in design and quality assurance of software products • Experience in collaborating with partners and offshore teams • Knowledge of the software release process • Understanding of R Code and its applications in software development • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field • Ability to work onsite when required • Familiarity with 'About Time' software would be advantageous.
