Shift Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. As an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required in order to meet job and departmental needs, including evenings and weekends as required for donor events and travel. Job Summary UK Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement and the Partnerships, Events, & Program Team is seeking an Associate Director – Events to support UK HealthCare units and the Health Colleges. The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, Partnerships, Events & Programs. With a primary focus on internal and third-party philanthropic events the Associate Director – Events will engage a variety of community partners to progressively increase giving. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and growth of internal and third-party fundraising events and other cause-related fundraising activations.

The successful candidate for this role will have a track record of success in philanthropy, particularly in the realm of event fundraising, and/or cause marketing campaigns. The incumbent will also have exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage and inspire both corporate and community leaders to influence increased giving. The Associate Director will also act as liaison to the UK Hospital Auxiliary, responsible for the solicitation, management, and execution of an annual granting program.
