Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Development and Alumni Affairs of the School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM), the Development Associate supports the operations of TUSPM’s Office of Institutional Advancement by coordinating meetings, special events, seminars, health fairs, foot screenings and local/national conference participation.  In addition, the position providers administrative and clerical support to the Office of Institutional Advancement including, but not limited to data entry, drafting, editing and disseminating correspondences, memoranda and emails, schedule/calendar management, purchasing, travel and catering arrangements and departmental telephone monitoring. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field required; two years’ of directly related experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

Required Skills & Abilities\:
*Must be organized, detail oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
*Must exhibit the highest degree of professional and ethical behavior at all times.  
*Must have a customer service orientation that allows for effective interaction with administrators at all levels of the Temple University and Temple University Health System hierarchy, alumni, patients, students, faculty, staff, media members and the general public.  
*Must be proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office.  
*Must work with and adapt to new technology. 
*Ability to work nights/weekends/early mornings.
*Ability to work overtime

Preferred\:
*Two years’ experience in an administrative support position in fundraising, communications or marketing preferred.
