This position will support day to day donor engagement and fundraising operations based at the BHS Foundation and database operations for the Clarion Hospital Foundation. Tasks include database management and reporting, donor recognition, all technical aspects related to Foundation events including event registrations, payments and online auction management. Assists and supports all special event planning and related tasks.
Essential Job Functions
Masters donor database and donor engagement software to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. for both Butler and Clarion Foundations. Works with the Accounting Department to ensure balancing. Maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Generates donor reports as needed. Enters donor related data into donor database system. Accurately and effectively captures data metrics and reports to support foundation operations. Entering and tracking of donations received and participating organizations. Documents all donations with correct name and designation of contribution. Composes and generates routine contribution acknowledgements for signature by the Development Manager, President & CEO, or other appropriate Administrator in a timely manner. Assists with planning, organizing, and implementing fundraising and “friend raising” events. Compiles invitation mailing lists. Processes registrations. Attends events to help with registration and other functions. Schedules committee meetings relating to upcoming events. Tracks and records RSVPs for events. Coordinates event design materials with Marketing Team Promotes a favorable feeling of goodwill towards BHS Foundation with the community-at-large and Independence Health employees Serves as an ambassador of the Foundations to donors and Independence Health employees by conveying the Foundations' culture of friendliness, respect, and its mission. Assists Development Manager with donor stewardship and donor relations. Develops and maintains relationships with donors and potential donors. Performs general administrative duties as needed. Serves as gatekeeper for all communication to the Foundation Office, including answering the telephones, receiving/routing mail, greeting visitors, assessing nature of communication, and responding appropriately. Interfaces effectively, regardless of venue, with Foundation board members, donors, other community members, and Independence Health System employees. Maintains files relating to department initiatives and donors. Handles office correspondence related to foundation inquiries. Answering telephone inquiries and outreach Assists with the management of all facets of gift acceptance and acceptance from potential donors. Assists colleagues with community outreach to develop relationships with potential donors. Analyzes complex information, specific to donors systemwide. Manages Foundation’s social media and ensures weekly postings. Coordinates updates to Foundation website pages with Marketing Team. Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Business or related field. Experience with Donor Database System. Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects. Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including community. Experience with entry of data, ability to manipulate data for analysis, and generating reports. Advanced working knowledge of computers, database systems, and office equipment.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. Experience using Raiser’s Edge Software. Fundraising/Development Experience.License, Certification & Clearances
