Overview

The Development Coordinator is responsible for performing financial and administrative operations, including gift recording, processing, and allocation, as well as generating finance reports and leading expense reporting. They serve as the main liaison with Finance for office expenses, maintain office supplies, and provide frontline support to donors and stakeholders. Administrative duties include managing the Executive Director's calendar, coordinating donor meetings, organizing agendas, and overseeing event planning logistics. The role also involves data management using Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge, and NXT, supporting donor relations and stewardship, and assisting with the coordination and execution of fundraising events.

Qualifications

Education:

 

1) A relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of three years’ experience in a position with similar duties and responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:

 

1) Philanthropy experience preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

1) Ability to perform multiple duties effectively and independently, with minimal supervision in an environment of continuous change and interruptions.
2) Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
3) Team player with excellent customer service skills.
4) Ability to remain calm and maintain workload in demanding situations.
5) Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding, and access to, information regarding contributors, trustees, physicians, patients, staff and management.
6) Excellent command of the English language; grammar, spelling, writing and editing skills; must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
