The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Minnesota and Dakotas Region. You will work one to two days a week in our Minneapolis office (1201 W River Pkwy, Minneapolis MN 55454) and other days remotely.

What You Need to Know:
We are looking for a Development Coordinator who will lead efforts to support funding growth development through fundraising volunteer management and training, gift processing and overall administrative support for the fundraising team, with a focus on Corporate Philanthropy Officers. This is NOT a donor-facing position. This is a critical back office development and fundraising administrative support position.
Where Your Career is a Force Good (key responsibilities):
Recruit and lead volunteers who perform stewardship, data and other miscellaneous projects for development team.Lead corporate team to identify needed gift adjustments and/or gift linking requests to support accuracy of revenue and fundraiser credit per the guidelines. Analyze and provide data and reports to assist leadership in operational reviews, monitoring activity and performance, and other initiatives as directed.Support gift processing to include cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate execution of check processing and bundling procedures are followed and understood.Lead corporate team in data hygiene system updates to ensure quality data by creating new accounts, requesting account merges and making other needed updates. Support portfolio updates as defined by leadership by transferring accounts/contacts to the appropriate relationship manager, inactivating and adding new accounts, and ensuring portfolios are reflected for each role. Support the monitoring of upcoming and past due solicitations and gifts and proactively share information to ensure data is updated appropriately.Assist with onboarding of new fundraisers and serve as the primary systems trainer for new hires and volunteers. Provide ongoing user training and education on new functionality and/or changes in the system.Serve as the liaison to key national contacts for data systems, gift processing and research as needed. Support tracking large budgeted monthly gifts, as reflected in the revenue budget to support forecasting.Compensation: The salary range for this position is $21.80 – 23.25/hr.
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education: High School or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Skills & Abilities: Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. (minimal)

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
