Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Development Engineer, at ABB Motion Services. Our service division consist of 150 professionals across the country. Motion Services division has the leading expertise in drives, motors and generators life cycle management.The Development Engineer will work in HSE & Service Processes team. You take a lead in development of instructions and working methods of order-delivery process, encompassing sales, operations (both workshop and field service), solutions, supply chain & HSEQ. Your professional background could for example be in Field Service, as well as in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering roles. By continuously improving processes and enhancing productivity, you will increase safety and ensure successful performance for end customers. Given that developing instructions and working methods involves team members from various functions, strong leadership skills and a willingness to foster collaboration across different teams are essential. Willingness to travel mainly in Finland is required. The preferred location for the role is Helsinki, Lappeenranta or Oulu. You will be mainly accountable for:•Managing the development of instructions and working methods for the order-delivery process •Actively collaborating and communicating with internal stakeholders and teams•Ensuring that instructions comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies •Systematically driving and facilitating the process development with all Motion Services functions•Advancing process development from the business perspective•Challenging existing processes to ensure operational excellence

Qualifications for the role

Familiarity with the industrial operating environment, such as mechanical engineering Mindset focused on continuous process improvementAdvanced skills with process development toolsFluency in Finnish and English B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field
