Wärtsilä Marine Power Supply, Delivery Centre STH (Sustainable Technology Hub) is looking for a Development Engineer to be part of the Material Management team.
DC STH Material Management plans, organizes, controls and develops the material flow from suppliers to production and external customers, including inbound, in-house and outbound logistics as well as supplier quality assurance. We are now looking for a Development Engineer who will be responsible for developing the processes, systems, and ways of working of DC STH Material Management to improve and optimize end-to-end material flow.

Responsibilities:
Lead developments within own responsibility area and support also in other development projects at STH Develop logistics systems (SAP ECC/EWM) and processes to improve and optimize end-to-end material flow Create KPIs and reports in PowerBI Increase process efficiency by creating RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Develop logistics automation solutions Participate in the SAP S/4HANA program related to reports and RPAs Utilize process mining as a tool to analyse process performance Investigate AI opportunities in the logistics area Support end-users in system and process-related challenges Cooperate with other Wärtsilä plants in development activities Be responsible for continuous knowledge sharing related to best practices Be responsible for maintaining process charts and work instructions Coordinate and provide training
Requirements:
M.Sc or B.Sc in engineering, economics, IT or similar Experience in SAP (ECC or S/HANA and EWM) Experience in programming, robotics (e.g. RPA) or PowerBI Experience in logistics in the manufacturing industry is seen as an advantage Experience in process development and project management is seen as an advantage Knowledge of LEAN principles is seen as an advantage (e.g. value stream mapping, kaizen, root cause analysis and problem-solving) Good communication, team and social skills Systematic and active approach to working Strong problem-solving skills Good presentation skills Fluent in spoken and written Finnish or Swedish and English
