Your tasks

You model the electrical components of hydraulic systems and perform dynamic simulations of transient processes. Additionally, you are responsible for conducting analyses regarding the dynamic grid support capabilities of hydraulic systems, up to and including grid studies. Evaluating the simulations and creating reports are also part of your responsibilities. You develop suitable solution proposals for the system and optimize its settings. You take on the further development, optimization, and expansion of the modeling and calculation process. Your tasks are rounded off by customer discussions and participation in standardization committees.


Your profile

You have a master's degree or a PhD in electrical engineering, control engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification with at least three years of professional experience. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical machines, excitation systems, and control engineering is required for this position. You have professional experience in using simulation software for electrical networks and system modeling such as PSS/E, PSCAD, or PowerFactory. Deep theoretical knowledge in the application of advanced methods and tools, as well as basic programming skills in Matlab, Python, and Fortran, are required. Basic knowledge of hydraulics is desirable. Your English skills are excellent, both written and spoken, and German skills are an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally occasionally (about 5%) is expected. You are accustomed to a systematic and independent way of working to handle complex tasks and develop solution strategies. Personal responsibility, analytical thinking, and team-oriented actions complete your profile.
