We are hiring a Development Manager in our Oklahoma City market. The position has fundraising responsibilities tied to corporate sponsorship and participant income for the annual OKC Heart & Stroke Walk. This position has a planned fundraising goal of $200k.
The candidate will also help steward and grow relationships to provide beneficial outcomes; recruiting, managing, and motivating volunteers; planning and implementing logistics of auxiliary fundraising events; maintaining donor or sponsor databases; coordinating event administration, schedules, and meetings; controlling inventory of marketing, presentation, or fundraising materials; and preparing financial or operations reports.
We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

**Responsibilities**
+ Revenue generation and volunteer management for the Oklahoma City Heart & Stroke Walk.
+ Conduct sales calls to generate new business and manage existing company partnerships.
+ Goal setting with corporate companies and individuals to raise funds and awareness.
+ Network within the local area to develop relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and key corporate and community leaders.
+ Assist in developing sponsorship proposals. Help in coordinating event efforts to meet sponsor needs to deliver on promised activations.
+ Recruit and train volunteers and run assignments onsite during Heart Walk events. Act as volunteer liaison.
+ Coordinate logistics for auxiliary events and virtual events. This includes coordinating and collaborating with vendors and volunteers.
+ Coordinate and manage vendor relationships. Lead the vendor contract process to ensure internal legal approval, and that best practices, guidelines, and procedures are followed at events. Track vendors’ adherence to contractual obligations and perform as agreed upon.
+ Create and run reports from internal databases and systems. Track and report on sponsorship income, pledged dollar amounts and event donation information for events.
+ Ensure accuracy and adherence to the latest policies and practices of the Association as they relate to fiscal and event financials. Ensure expenses for events are coordinated with the directors and Accounting Liaison, as applicable. Monitor event budget. Coordinate and track invoicing, expenses, and peripheral accounts for events.
+ Travel required within the Oklahoma City area.
+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
**Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience.
+ Ability to travel locally approximately 70%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times.
+ Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
+ Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.
**Here are some of the preferred experience skills we are seeking:**
+ University/College degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
+ Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-suite level.
+ Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
